Sofono Spacemaster PRC402ST convector/reflector electric heater, c.1964

First launched in 1959 and manufactured in Falkirk, Scotland, the iconic satellite-inspired space-age design was the work of Ralph Cameron Ormiston.
Model PRC402ST combined a 750w radiant element controlled by a switch, and a 2kw convector controlled by a thermostat. Multiple models with varying specifications were available during the production run, and came in a range of colourways including Mocha, Flame, Clover Pink, Cloud Grey, Gunmetal and Black.
This example, in the clover pink colourway, is currently awaiting restoration.
